Centrifugal (backward-curved) fans generate higher static pressure (1,000-3,500 Pa) — required for systems with scrubbers, long duct runs, or multiple hood branches. Axial fans deliver high airflow at low pressure (100-500 Pa) — suitable for short, straight exhaust runs without treatment equipment.
