Industrial PP Plastic Sheets

Industrial PP Rigid Plastic Sheets for Chemical Tank Fabrication & Corrosion Linings

Virgin polypropylene (PP) rigid sheets are the foundational material for chemical tank fabrication, scrubber body construction, ductwork, and corrosion-resistant linings. PP sheets offer chemical resistance to HCl, H2SO4, HF, NaOH, and most organic solvents at a material cost 60-80% lower than alloy metals. Standard density 0.91 g/cm3 makes PP the lightest engineering thermoplastic suitable for structural fabrication.

PP sheet vs PVC vs PVDF for industrial fabrication

PP: -10 C to +90 C, excellent acid/alkali resistance, weldable, lowest cost. PVC: lower temperature limit (60 C), good acid resistance, brittle below 0 C. PVDF: superior temp range (-30 C to +140 C), excellent chemical resistance, 5-8x PP cost. For 80% of industrial corrosive applications, PP offers the best price-performance ratio. See our PP sheet selection guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sheet thickness do I need for a chemical tank?

Tank wall thickness depends on liquid height, specific gravity, and design safety factor. Standard: 8-12mm PP for tanks up to 2,000L, 15-20mm for 5,000-10,000L. See our PP tank design guide.

Can PP sheets be welded?

Yes. Hot gas welding and extrusion welding are standard methods. All PP grades are weldable. See our PP welding guide.

What is the minimum order quantity?

Single sheets available for sample/test orders. Wholesale pricing for pallet quantities. Custom thicknesses and colors require minimum production run.
