Xicheng — The Factory Behind the Sheet
Every PP sheet described on this site — standard board, PVC, white cleanroom, thick structural, thin light-gauge, engineering plate — is extruded under one roof at our Shenzhen, China production base. We are not a trading company that sources PP sheet from whichever extruder quotes the lowest price this month. We are the extruder. The sheet we ship to you was extruded on our production line from resin lots we tested, to thickness tolerances we verified, with QC data we generated. This page describes what that means for your order — price, quality, and supply reliability.
Xicheng operates 16 extrusion lines at our Shenzhen facility with annual PP/PVC sheet output exceeding 12,000 metric tons. Approximately 40% of sheet output is consumed internally — welded into the chemical tanks, ventilation ducts, wet scrubbers, and fume hoods we manufacture as finished equipment for customers in 50+ countries. The remaining 60% is supplied as raw sheet to independent fabricators, tank builders, ductwork contractors, and equipment manufacturers worldwide. Our customers range from single-person fabrication shops ordering 10 sheets per month to multinational engineering contractors ordering 40-foot container loads quarterly. The QC standard is identical regardless of order size — the same resin, the same 5-point thickness measurement, the same batch traceability.

What Factory-Direct Means for Your Order
Buying PP sheet factory-direct from Xicheng eliminates two layers of markup that exist in the conventional industrial plastics supply chain: the trading company margin and the local distributor margin. The cost advantage is real — typically 20-35% below Western distributor pricing for equivalent specification sheet. But cost is not the only advantage, and for many customers it is not the most important one:
- Technical answers from the extruder, not a catalog. When a trading company receives a question about whether 10 mm PP is adequate for a 2,500-liter sulfuric acid tank at 50°C, they consult a chemical resistance chart and give a generic answer. When we receive the same question, we ask for the tank dimensions and liquid specific gravity, run a thickness calculation, and provide a recommendation based on 16 years of fabricating tanks from the same material. If 10 mm is marginal, we will tell you — and recommend 12 mm or external reinforcement, whichever is more cost-effective for your specific tank design. This engineering support is part of the factory-direct relationship; it costs nothing at the quotation stage and can save you from a material failure that costs far more than the sheet price difference.
- Single extrusion campaign for project orders. A multi-sheet order for a large tank or ductwork project requires every sheet to behave identically under the welding torch — same melt temperature, same flow, same heat history. Trading companies aggregate orders from multiple extruders to fill a container — your shipment may contain sheets from three different factories with three different resin formulations, all labeled “PP.” Xicheng project orders are produced as a single extrusion campaign — all sheets from the same resin batch, same process parameters, same QC dataset. Every sheet in your order welds identically to every other sheet. For fabricators, this batch consistency eliminates the material variable from welding quality control.
- QC data you can use — not just a certificate in a file. Every Xicheng sheet shipment includes the 5-point thickness measurement data for your specific production batch — not a generic certificate that “thickness tolerance is ±0.2 mm.” You can cross-check our measurements against your own incoming inspection. The data is traceable to the extrusion date, production line number, and resin lot. For ISO 9001-certified fabricators, this documentation integrates directly into your material receiving QC process.
Factory-direct material supply from manufacturers operating under quality management systems recognized by international standards is consistent with supply chain best practices referenced in ISO 9001:2015 Section 8.4 — Control of Externally Provided Processes, Products and Services.
Production Capability — 16 Lines, 12,000+ MT/Year
Our Shenzhen production base houses 16 PP/PVC sheet extrusion lines under one roof, organized by product type for production efficiency and contamination prevention:
- Lines 1-4: Standard PP sheet (2-30 mm, beige/grey). Highest-volume production — these lines run near-continuously. 6 mm standard duct gauge is typically in-stock or in the current extrusion schedule at any given time. This continuous production is why 6 mm PP is our fastest-shipping gauge.
- Lines 5-6: White PP sheet (2-30 mm, TiO₂ through-body). Dedicated to white production to prevent pigment cross-contamination from beige/grey lines. Color consistency verified by spectrophotometer at production intervals, Delta-E measurement recorded for each batch.
- Lines 7-8: Thick PP sheet (10-50 mm). Slower extrusion speeds with controlled, gradual cooling to minimize residual stress. Cross-sectional temperature monitoring during cooling. Flatness checked on granite surface table after cooling.
- Lines 9-10: PVC rigid sheet (2-30 mm, grey/white). Dedicated PVC lines with thermal stability testing (Congo Red, ISO 182) on every incoming compound batch. Melt temperature monitoring at the die throughout production to prevent thermal degradation.
- Lines 11-12: Engineering-grade plate (2-70 mm). Tighter tolerance extrusion with surface profilometer QC. Glossy (Ra ≤0.2 μm), matte, and textured finishes available.
- Lines 13-16: Custom grades and project orders. Flame retardant PP (V0, halogen-free), glass fiber reinforced PP (FRPP, 20-30% GF), anti-static PP, custom RAL colors, non-standard dimensions to 2000×6000 mm.
All lines operate under ISO 9001:2015 documented procedures. Incoming resin is tested for melt flow index (ISO 1133) before release to production. In-process thickness is continuously gauged. Finished sheets receive 5-point dimensional inspection, diagonal check, and visual surface inspection. Batch mechanical testing (tensile ISO 527, Izod impact ISO 180) is performed on samples from each production campaign.

FAQ
What is the minimum order quantity?
1 m² for standard products (standard PP sheet, standard colors, standard thicknesses). Custom colors: MOQ 500 kg per color. Custom dimensions: MOQ 1 sheet. Container-load orders receive volume pricing — contact us for a project quotation.
How do I know the sheet quality before placing a large order?
We provide sample sheets (standard sizes) for evaluation. Sample shipments include the same QC documentation package as production orders: 5-point thickness data, batch mechanical test results, and material certification. You can weld, bend, cut, and chemically test the sample before committing to a production order.
Can you match a specific color for our branded equipment line?
Yes. Custom RAL color matching is available. MOQ 500 kg per color, which typically covers the minimum extrusion batch required for consistent pigment dispersion. Lead time for custom colors includes a color-matching and sample approval stage — typically 4-6 weeks total. Contact us with your RAL code or physical color sample.
Do you offer OEM/private-label packaging?
Yes. We can package under your brand with custom labels, pallet markings, and documentation. Standard OEM terms: your artwork provided, our production. Contact us for OEM requirements and minimum quantities.
What’s the difference between buying from Xicheng and buying from a local distributor?
Distributors add value through local stock availability (no sea freight waiting time) and local-language service. Xicheng factory-direct adds value through: lower unit price (no distributor margin), direct engineering support from the manufacturer, single-batch consistency across your entire project order, and complete QC documentation traceable to the extrusion batch. For small, urgent orders, a local distributor may be the better choice. For project orders and ongoing supply, factory-direct typically provides better value.
