But the wrong packing type, size, or material causes real problems: premature replacement, collapsed beds, channeling, and scrubber efficiency drops that go unnoticed until stack test failure. We stock and supply packing built to the same specification as what goes into our own manufactured scrubbers.
- Consistent quality, batch to batch. Cheap packing from uncertified suppliers varies: wall thickness drifts, void fraction changes, and one batch’s surface area isn’t the next batch’s. Our PP packing is manufactured to controlled specifications with dimensional tolerance of plus or minus 5 percent on nominal size. We provide material certs with bulk orders — virgin PP, no regrind, no filler.
- We stock what we recommend. Six types, six sizes per type, in our Shenzhen warehouse. For standard Pall rings and Raschig rings, we hold minimum 5 m3 of each size in stock. You’re not waiting for production — packing ships within 3-5 days for in-stock items.
- Replacement that fits your existing tower. If you’re replacing packing in a non-Xicheng scrubber, send us the existing packing sample, tower diameter, and bed depth. We’ll match the type and size, or recommend an upgrade if your current packing isn’t optimal for your application.

How do I know which packing type to choose?
The choice depends on your gas solubility, liquid-to-gas ratio, allowable pressure drop, and fouling risk. For general acid gas scrubbing, 25mm PP Pall rings are the standard starting point. How often should packing be replaced?
Typically 3-5 years for clean gas service, 1-3 years for dusty or scaling-prone applications. Signs that packing needs replacement: increased pressure drop at constant flow, decreased removal efficiency, visible channeling or collapse during inspection, or packing that crumbles when handled (PP embrittlement from UV or chemical attack).
Can you supply packing for non-Xicheng scrubbers?
Yes — we supply packing for all makes and models. Send us the existing packing sample and tower dimensions; we’ll match the type and size or recommend an upgrade. About 40 percent of our packing sales are for competitor scrubbers.
What is the MOQ for custom sizes?
For standard PP Pall rings and Raschig rings: MOQ 0.1 m3 (approximately 2-3 bags) for sample orders, 1 m3 for bulk pricing. For custom sizes or non-standard types (Tellerette, structured packing): MOQ 2 m3. We stock all standard sizes for immediate shipment.
