Step-by-Step Installation Guide
Socket Connection (Recommended for Most Applications)
- Cut the PP pipe to the required length using a fine-tooth saw, ensuring a clean, square cut.
- Remove any burrs from the pipe end with a deburring tool.
- Clean both the pipe end and the elbow socket with isopropyl alcohol to remove dirt and grease.
- Apply a thin, uniform layer of PP solvent cement to both surfaces.
- Insert the pipe fully into the elbow socket, twisting 1/4 turn to ensure even distribution of the cement.
- Hold the joint firmly for 30 seconds to allow the cement to set.
- Allow the joint to cure for 24 hours before pressurizing the system.
Hot Melt Welding (For High-Pressure/High-Corrosion Applications)
- Prepare the pipe and elbow ends as above.
- Set the hot melt welding machine to 260℃ and allow it to reach operating temperature.
- Simultaneously heat the pipe end and elbow socket for the recommended time (varies by size).
- Remove both parts from the heater and immediately push them together with firm, even pressure.
- Hold the joint in place until it cools completely (approximately 1-2 minutes).
