How Does The FRP Centrifugal Fan Work?

Step 1: Gas Intake & Impeller Rotation
As the motor rotates to drive the fan impeller, the gas between the blades in the impeller also rotates. The negative pressure formed at the inlet draws in the corrosive gas from the connected ductwork under atmospheric pressure.
Step 2: Centrifugal Force Acceleration
The rotating blades throw the gas outward under the action of centrifugal force, increasing the gas flow rate significantly. This kinetic energy is crucial for overcoming system resistance in long duct runs.
Step 3: Pressure Energy Conversion
As the gas moves through the volute casing, the increasing flow converts kinetic energy into static pressure energy. Then as the fluid is pressurized further, the static pressure energy converts back into velocity energy for efficient discharge.
Step 4: Clean Gas Discharge
The pressurized corrosive gas is discharged through the exhaust port at the required pressure and volume. Under the same power, wind pressure and air volume are generally inversely proportional—higher pressure means lower volume and vice versa—allowing optimal motor power efficiency based on ASHRAE standards.
