Workflow of spray wet dust collector
Functional principle
Spray wet dust collector is commonly known as “water dust collector“, which is a device that makes dust-containing gas and liquid (usually water) in close contact, and uses the inertial collision of water droplets and particles and other effects to capture or increase particles;
Wet dust collector is a combination of water bath and spray. First, the suction force of the high-pressure centrifugal fan is used to press the dust-laden gas into the water tank with a certain height of water, and the water bath will absorb a part of the dust in the water. After uniform distribution, the gas flows from bottom to top, and the high-pressure nozzle sprays water mist from top to bottom to capture the remaining dust particles. Its filtration efficiency can reach more than 85%.
The wet dust collector can effectively remove liquid or solid particles with a diameter of 5-20 microns from the gas stream, and at the same time, can also remove some gaseous pollutants. It has the advantages of simple structure, small footprint, convenient operation and maintenance, and high purification efficiency. It can handle high-temperature and high-humidity airflow and minimize the possibility of fire and explosion. However, when using wet dust collectors, special attention should be paid to the corrosion of equipment and pipes and the treatment of sewage and sludge. The wet dedusting process is also not conducive to the recovery of by-products. If the equipment is installed outdoors, the possibility of freezing of the equipment in winter must also be considered. Furthermore, if the fine particles are to be removed, the liquid phase needs to be better dispersed, but the energy consumption is increased. The wet dust collector has high dust removal efficiency for dust with a particle size of less than 5 μm, and has a service life of 5 to 8 years. The dust collector has a compact structure, occupies a small space, and consumes little water. It can process 5 to 7 cubic meters of dust-laden airflow per second, covering an area of about 4 square meters, and consumes about 1 ton of water per hour.
